thornbush studios is a small mastering studio that caters to the home studio and small professional studio owner. We provide 99% of the "major label sound" that the large mastering houses provide for less than 10% of the budget.
If you have a finished, mixed CD that just doesn't sound as "big" as the store bought CDs you own, you are missing the mastering. Mastering is the last part of the audio production chain before a project is replicated. It gives what seems to be a well balanced mix that fullness, depth, clarity and cohesiveness that we are used to hearing from major label releases. It is always a wise decision to send your final mixes to an independent mastering facility. Nothing can replace the sound that a skilled, trained, unbiased set of ears can achieve with state of the art mastering equipment. Thornbush was designed from the ground up to provide a mastering service that competes quite well against the major label mastering houses. If you have a Britney budget, we will be glad to help you find a mastering house that will fill your needs. If, however, you own a smaller studio or are paying for your CD productions out of your own pocket, Thornbush was made for you.
