Examples Here are a few before and after examples of work done here at thornbush studios. The first half of each sample is as we received it, the second half is a mastered version of the same section of music. Please choose the Windows Media files or the "iTunes" Quicktime files as appropriate.

Attention: These samples are MP3s. MP3s by nature are low resolution files and have high frequency distortion anomalies that keep us from demonstrating the clarity of the masters. These will however show how important the mastering process is, even when the listening environment is less than optimal. Also, note that the gain on the original version of each example was mixed as high as possible without clipping. Mastering gives that increase in apparent volume you're hearing. We did not turn down the "before".
